Senior Town Planner Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Senior Town Planner, playing a key role in shaping the future of urban development. As a senior professional in our planning department, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and expertise on complex projects, ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements and are delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing planning strategies across various projects, including renewable energy, residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Providing expert advice on town planning regulations, policies, and procedures to clients and stakeholders.
  • Leading site inspections and preparing detailed reports on planning compliance and issues identified.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in town planning, preferably with a focus on urban development and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of planning laws, policies, and regulations, particularly in Ireland.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
