We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Newly/Part-Qualified Accountant to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management while supporting a diverse client portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar position, with strong financial analysis and accounts preparation skills. They will be able to train and supervise junior staff, possess proficient IT skills, particularly in financial software and Excel, and have strong organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and review of management accounts.
- Analyse and present weekly KPI reports to the Senior Account Manager.
- Identify and address financial control issues, recommending process improvements.
- Implement and monitor effective internal controls.
- Oversee the accounts payable function and ensure efficient processes.
- Manage working capital to optimise cash flow.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
- Deliver financial control services and strategic support to clients.
Key Requirements:
- Be a Newly/Part-qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Significant experience in a similar position.
- Strong financial analysis and accounts preparation skills.
- Ability to train and supervise junior staff.
- Proficient IT skills, particularly in financial software and Excel.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Retail sector experience advantageous but not essential.
