Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Risk Governance Specialist to support a key piece of work within the risk function at Albany Beck.

The role involves defining and mapping how the four pillars within the risk function engage with the wider business, focusing on process governance, risk appetite, and policy frameworks.

This is a unique opportunity for an analyst with process improvement experience to contribute to shaping and refining risk processes within a dynamic and evolving function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and document current risk function processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement and efficiency.
  • Design and implement new process improvements to enhance risk governance and engagement with business units.
  • Map out new processes or approaches to support risk appetite and policy governance.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to define and embed best practices within the function.
  • Support the engagement model between the four risk function pillars and the wider business.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on process enhancement strategies.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in analytical roles, preferably within a reporting/change environment.
  • Proven experience in process mapping, process improvement, and governance.
  • Ability to work across multiple areas, including risk appetite, policy frameworks, and operational processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in risk, AML, operations, or a related field is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a small but impactful team.
