Senior Data Engineer

  • A robust and scalable data pipeline is required to meet the organisation's needs.
  • The Senior Data Engineer will lead the development of these pipelines on cloud platforms, ensuring high data quality, availability, and performance.
  • They will play a strategic role in shaping the data architecture, tools, and best practices across the organisation.
  • Key skills include expertise in cloud data platforms, experience building data pipelines using AWS services, expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, and proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
  • Additionally, they must be familiar with orchestration tools and have a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud architecture.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 6+ years of data engineering experience with a strong focus on cloud data platforms.
  • Proven experience building data pipelines using AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and IAM.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, including performance tuning, security, and cost optimisation.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
  • Familiar with orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow or AWS-native alternatives).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and cloud architecture.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
