Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Employment Lawyer to join our global team as an EU specialist. Reporting to the Chief Counsel Labor & Employment, you will provide trusted advisory services to Corporate functions and Operating Companies across Europe. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, commercially aware legal guidance, often acting as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with senior management, HR leaders, and business units to understand their needs, providing actionable recommendations that balance commercial imperatives with legal requirements.
- Lead on all aspects of employment law, including advising on contentious issues, negotiating settlements, and representing the company in courts and tribunals.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and regulatory changes in employment law, identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct thorough investigations into sensitive matters, including employee misconduct, harassment, and other workplace concerns.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate has a strong background in labor and employment law, preferably with extensive experience working in Europe. A proven track record of managing complex cases, delivering results-oriented advice, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders is essential. Strong communication skills, ability to work independently, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are also critical.
