Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a comprehensive academic strategy that aligns with our mission and values.
  • Promote effective governance and support periodic reviews with accrediting bodies.
  • Participate in the college's strategy development as part of the Academic Leadership Team.
Pedagogical Excellence
  • Ensure high standards in teaching, learning, assessment, scholarship, research, and service by implementing best practices and providing ongoing support.
  • Lead curriculum development and pedagogical strategies in collaboration with the Head of Digital Learning.
  • Proactively develop the portfolio of programs in response to market changes, ensuring they remain relevant and attractive to students.
Quality Standards
  • Ensure the college operates according to its policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability.
  • Maintain compliance with legal and statutory requirements for accrediting authorities, staying ahead of regulatory changes.
  • Direct student recruitment, admission, and registration in line with well-qualified candidates, promoting diversity and inclusion.
External Relations
  • Establish strategic alliances and promote the college's visibility nationally and internationally, building partnerships that drive growth and innovation.
  • Oversee Internationalisation initiatives as outlined in the college's Strategic Plan, fostering a global community of scholars and learners.
  • Maintain engagement with higher education sectors globally, staying up-to-date with prevailing policy and its implications, ensuring our programs remain relevant and competitive.
Requirements
  • Hold a doctorate degree, demonstrating expertise in your field.
  • Be a self-motivated leader with experience in team leadership and management, inspiring others to achieve their best.
  • Have knowledge and experience in online and blended learning pedagogy and practice, leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Possess extensive experience in higher education roles, both academic and management, bringing a wealth of knowledge and insight to this position.
  • Have proven experience working with accrediting authorities, ensuring compliance and driving improvement.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships that drive success and foster a positive culture.
