Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organisation as a Staff Grade Psychologist, working within the Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT) providing a Family-Centred, Interdisciplinary Team Service to children with complex disability needs aged 0 to 18 years in their local community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide a team-based service to CDNT children and young people and their families.
  • Contribute to the assessment and delivery of clinical interventions for children with complex disability needs, including physical, sensory, intellectual disabilities, and/or Autism.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement individualised plans that promote the best possible outcomes for children and young people.
Requirements:
  • Recognised University degree or Diploma in Psychology (QQI level 8 or equivalent) obtained with 1st or 2nd class honours.
  • Recognised postgraduate professional qualification in clinical, counselling, or educational psychology, or an equivalent validated by the relevant authorities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and effective caseload management skills.
Desirable Qualities:
  • Experience in assessment and delivery of clinical interventions for children with complex disability needs.
  • Work experience or training placement in a disability service with children with disabilities.
  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
