The role of a Water Purity Specialist involves ensuring the water used in pharmaceutical manufacturing meets strict quality and safety standards. The specialist will be responsible for conducting thorough testing to confirm the purity of water, detecting and quantifying microbial contaminants, endotoxins, nitrates, and other substances that can pose risks to product quality and patient safety.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular microbiological monitoring to detect and quantify microbial contaminants
  • Detecting and quantifying endotoxins to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Monitoring nitrate levels to prevent potential health risks
  • Measuring conductivity to determine the ionic content of water
  • Detecting oxidizable substances to identify organic contaminants
  • Performing elemental analysis to detect and quantify trace elements
