Mount Wolseley Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join its culinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Head Chef in the running of the kitchen, supervising all kitchen staff, and liaising with Food & Beverage teams to ensure exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of menus, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently delivered to our guests.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Liaise with Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and efficient work practices in the kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with hotel management to deliver high-quality dishes from the kitchen.
  • Direct and supervise the Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams to successfully execute daily operations.
  • Be knowledgeable about the Hotel and all of its departments.
  • Ensure that all customers receive the highest quality of service.
  • Assist in the management, training, and development of the kitchen team, ensuring objectives are regularly monitored.
Requirements:
  • Excellent leadership capabilities to effectively manage a large team.
  • Previous experience in a management or supervisory position in a busy kitchen.
  • Strong ability to work efficiently and handle busy periods competently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic. Excellent interpersonal skills.
