We are seeking a highly experienced leader to fill the role of Operational Excellence Director, who will be responsible for driving operational excellence across our site.

This position involves leading the continuous improvement strategy, aligning resources to meet strategic goals and developing and implementing a site-wide operational excellence roadmap using Lean, Six Sigma, and Class A methodologies.

  • The successful candidate will have 9+ years of experience in business excellence or related field, hold a minimum NFQ Level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline and possess strong influencing and leadership skills.
  • The ideal candidate will also have a proven track record in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence frameworks, as well as background in regulated environments – medical device, pharma, manufacturing.

This is a pivotal leadership role focused on embedding a culture of operational excellence through strategic initiatives and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Operational Excellence function, aligning resources to meet strategic goals.
  • Recruits, coaches, and develops organizational talent.
  • Develop and implement a site-wide Operational Excellence roadmap using Lean, Six Sigma, and Class A methodologies.
  • Drive cost and performance improvement initiatives through continuous improvement programs.
  • Develop a digital operational strategy to create efficiencies across the business and foster new ways of working and managing the business.
  • Makes decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives.
  • Demonstrates effective change leadership.
Requirements:
  • A seasoned leader with 9+ years of experience in business excellence or related field.
  • Hold a minimum NFQ Level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Skilled in strategic planning, change management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven track record in Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Background in regulated environments – medical device, pharma, manufacturing.
  • Strong influencing and leadership skills.
  • Digital operational experience.
