Job Title: Automation Systems Manager
Job OverviewWe are seeking an Automation Systems Manager to lead the end-to-end upgrade of legacy control systems across an API production line. This is a 12-month contract opportunity with a leading pharmaceutical organisation.
This role requires extensive experience in automation project management within life sciences or pharmaceutical manufacturing, as well as proven track records of delivering PCS7 or similar DCS/SCADA system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities- Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, validation, and manufacturing to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budget planning.
- Oversee installation, commissioning, and qualification of automation systems, ensuring robust documentation and compliance with GMP, FDA, and MHRA standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to system integration and connectivity.
- Strong expertise in network architecture, industrial Ethernet, and electrical cabling.
- Solid understanding of GMP, validation protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related technical discipline.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in API or sterile manufacturing environments and possess exceptional technical leadership and mentorship skills.
