Looking for a dynamic Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background and be able to translate theoretical knowledge into cost-effective designs.About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for delivering outstanding mechanical designs and tracking new technologies. This is an excellent opportunity to work on designing new and advanced food sorting machines, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and defining machine architectures, applying state-of-the-art DfM techniques, and ensuring perfect quality of design through rigorous testing and validation.Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate theoretical knowledge into practical, cost-effective designs
  • Conceptualize and define machine architectures to meet performance and cost targets
  • Apply state-of-the-art Design for Manufacturability (DfM) techniques
  • Design prototypes/parts, including drafting, testing, and validation
  • Maintain technical knowledge on food sorting applications
  • Represent the engineering department to different internal and external stakeholders and partners
Requirements:To succeed in this role, you must have:
  • A minimum of 10 years' relevant industry experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Experience with Solidworks
  • Knowledge of sheet metal, turning, milling, and welding processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
