**Job Summary:**

  • We are seeking a skilled Metrolink Delivery Engineer to support the delivery manager in all activities related to designing, procuring, installing, and handing over sites and testing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in engineering and project management, with at least 3 years of experience working in an urban area. Transport infrastructure experience is desired, as well as knowledge of relevant and related engineering specifications and standards.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance and quality of design work by the Contractor, and participating in regular design process meetings and workshops.

This is a challenging role that requires effective communication and relationship management skills, including the ability to engage with customers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design Support: Support the design process, including the exchange of interface details, technical clarifications, and technical information requests (RFI), as well as handling design changes (RFC) and variations between the Contractor and the Civil Works Contractor.
  2. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on the performance and quality of design work by the Contractor and monitor progress against the agreed programme of works.
  3. Collaboration: Participate in regular design process meetings and workshops with the integrated Metrolink team.
  4. Coordination: Work alongside the Delivery Team to assist in coordinating requirements.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in an engineering environment, either in design or construction for projects in an urban area.
  • Transport infrastructure experience is desired.
  • Knowledge of relevant and related engineering specifications and standards (IS, BS, EN, NFPA, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively engage with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
