Lead Community Arts Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead a key strand of our Horizons programme.

This part-time role focuses on using the power of art to support wellbeing, social inclusion, and community connection through inclusive programming and strategic partnerships.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering Horizons strands, building and sustaining relationships with healthcare, community, and academic partners, and expanding participation with a focus on older people, people living with dementia, neurodiverse audiences, and marginalised groups.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing community-based Horizons strands;
  2. Collaborating with local organisations, recovery services, social care networks, and adult education providers;
  3. Leading inclusive Saturday workshops, tours, and family-friendly events.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in conceiving and delivering engagement and learning programmes in an arts / museum or arts and health context;
  • Knowledge of current arts educational practice, national arts and ageing policies, and museum practice in this area;
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in art history, arts education, museum studies, arts management, or arts and health, and/or a demonstrable track record of working in arts education.
