Electrical Artificers play a vital role in the smooth operation of our naval vessels.

As an Electrical Artificer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all onboard electrical systems are functioning correctly. This includes power generation, distribution and automated control systems.

Your duties will also include preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and participation in emergency response operations.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Requirements:
  • Citizenship: You must be an Irish citizen or have permission to work in Ireland
  • Character & Fitness: You must meet the required medical, physical and security clearance standards
  • Age: You must be between 18–39 years old on the date of application
  • Qualifications:
    • HETAC Level 7 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics & Instrumentation, or Marine Electrotechnology
    • QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Electrical, Electrical Instrumentation, or Instrumentation
