We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the launch of a pioneering cloud infrastructure project in Europe. The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of high-availability AWS services, including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock, exclusively for EU customers.

Job Overview

The European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) is a cutting-edge initiative aimed at providing scalable services to EU customers. As part of this project, you will collaborate with global AWS teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud services and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of the ESC launch in 2025, working closely with global AWS teams.
  • Building and leading operations and development teams delivering high-availability AWS services for EU customers.
  • Collaboration with technology leaders to enhance day-to-day operations and improve availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
  • Contribution to the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable cloud services and processes.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A strong background in cloud operations, preferably with experience in scripting or software development.
  • Knowledge or experience in Linux and networking fundamentals, coupled with expertise in troubleshooting and optimizing system performance and reliability.
  • Able to execute standard operating procedures and follow operational best practices.
