Warehouse Strategist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Strategist who will play a key role in maximising the efficiency of our third-party warehouses.

This role will provide a primary point of contact between the individual warehouse and the business, allow for a focus on strategic placement of product, cost monitoring and performance improvement.

The successful candidate will oversee periodic stock reconciliations, understand monthly financial performance, own the complaints process and develop warehouse strategy alongside the management team.

• Oversight of agreed periodic stock reconciliations with each warehouse, aligning with business requirements and underpinned with documented processes.
• Understanding of monthly financial performance of all warehouse activity.
• Ownership of the complaints process including review and acceptance procedure, accountability, corrective actions & timelines.
• Chairing periodic performance reviews with each warehouse.
• Development and implementation of warehouse strategy alongside the Fulfilment and Warehousing management team.
• Support and drive development of the Monthly S&OP forecast review.
• Embracing, embedding and enhancing the company culture within Warehousing and across the wider Logistics and Planning department.
• Utilisation of network visibility & analysis to find the right measure and scoring of KPI's to drive performance.
• Collaboration with another Inventory Manager by developing common ways of working, processes and SOP's, whilst also facilitating holiday cover.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent qualification.
• At least 5 years' experience in logistics & Supply Chain.
• A strong aptitude for Logistics IT systems and innovation of intuitive user interfaces.
• Analytical and structured approach to problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written reporting skills.
• Ability to control large volumes of initiatives under a program of work to a successful conclusion.
• Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Results driven, performance capability in a fast-moving business environment.
• Strong Computer literacy in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel & a working knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP process.
• Organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work well both as part of a team or independently.
