Electrical Engineering Leader

This is a high-impact role for an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead technical development efforts in areas such as miniaturized sensors, optical detection systems, RF ablation devices and power electronics. As a key member of our team, you will architect, design, and prototype novel electronic systems and subsystems for future technologies.

You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, clinical experts, and human factors specialists to explore and evaluate new product concepts. Additionally, you will contribute to strategic decision-making by identifying technical risks, generating mitigation strategies, and informing technology roadmaps.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead or mentor technical team in design and development of components, sub-systems, and/or systems for medical devices.
  • Apply and mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts across various products within the business unit.
  • Assess and integrate new technologies and capabilities (prototyping, testing, et al.) for the organization.
  • Mentor and influence in correction of complex product design issues.
  • Navigate and influence the Intellectual landscape for filings and protection.
  • Translate user needs to design inputs/specifications and produce system/architectural level layouts and platform designs.
  • Develop and influence a number of invention disclosures, patents or trade secrets.
  • Lead architecture of a complex system and guide design tradeoff decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in EE or related discipline & 10+ years experience in industrial design. Experience in UX design is a plus
  • Preferably a Master's degree or PhD in EE or related discipline
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to lead and teach electrical engineers in electrical design.
  • Advanced understanding of the design of complex components and sub-systems.
  • Ability to apply advanced circuit and electrical system test methods.
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing and testing methods.
  • Ability to apply standard technologies used in industry.
  • Advanced understanding of the interplay between system requirements (EE, ME, SW).
  • Ability to perform complex system level stackups including mechanical, software, and other inputs.
