Senior Electronic Design Engineer

Seeking an experienced senior electronic design engineer to join a dynamic team in Cork.

  • Design and develop complex electronic circuits for motor controller products

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a talented individual who is passionate about electronic design and development.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2nd Class Honours Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, circa 10 years of experience in electronic design and development, strong communication skills, familiarity with power conversion principles and thermal management, experience with hard real-time embedded system development, proficiency in VHDL and knowledge of FPGA interfacing and electronic communication devices, as well as project management experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute across the full hardware development lifecycle from design to delivery
  • Participate in design reviews and business reviews to ensure alignment with company goals
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-site development team to achieve project milestones
  • Deliver high-quality designs on time while maintaining awareness of current engineering technologies and standards
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2nd Class Honours Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
  • Circa 10 years of experience in electronic design and development
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with power conversion principles and thermal management
  • Experience with hard real-time embedded system development
  • Proficiency in VHDL and knowledge of FPGA interfacing and electronic communication devices
  • Project management experience
