A forward-thinking biotech company is seeking a skilled procurement professional to join its team. This on-site role will be based at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, where you will play a key part in discovering and bringing life-changing medicines to those who need them.

The ideal candidate will have experience in leading sourcing events, negotiating supply and service agreements, managing commercial discussions, and building strong vendor relationships. Initially, the successful applicant will focus on supporting site readiness by coordinating key procurement activities and establishing supplier relationships.

The Role

  • Manage the procurement of supplies and services
  • Prepare and negotiate agreements and contracts with suppliers to minimize risk and costs
  • Be responsible for RFI/RFP/RFQ's in indirect and local capital procurement areas
  • Drive alignment with global procurement on procurement activities by utilizing category management strategy
  • Drive negotiation and implementation of outsourced agreements and participate in post-implementation governance activities
  • Establish and manage relationships with local site suppliers while integrating global suppliers into the site's supply chain

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain, business, or engineering
  • Proven experience in a pharmaceutical industry manufacturing procurement role
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and drafting supplies and services contracts
  • Previous SAP and/or Ariba experience preferred
  • Strong teamwork, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated learning agility and ability to adapt to change
