The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical/counselling psychology and experience working with complex mental health presentations in an acute setting. You will be responsible for assisting and reporting to the Principal Psychologist Manager in exercising responsibility for the governance of psychological practice within our service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the psychological resources available to our teams
  • Exercise delegated responsibility for the governance of psychological practice within our service

  • Participate in the ongoing design and development of a high-quality, responsive, and accessible service

Requirements:

  • Clinical/Counselling Psychology qualification as accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland and Dept. of Health
  • Significant post-qualification experience of working with complex mental health presentations in an acute setting
  • Experience of managing own workload and responding to demand for psychology within a busy clinical environment
  • Supervision experience with staff-grade psychologists, trainees, and/or assistant psychologists/volunteers
  • Highly developed, in-depth knowledge & practice of specialist therapies in group and individual contexts (e.g., CFT, DBT, etc.)
