Job Title:

Chemical Process Operator


We are seeking a skilled Chemical Process Operator to join our team in the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and operation of an API plant. This is a shift role working on a four-shift cycle supporting a 24/7/365 world-class manufacturing organisation.


About the Role:

This is a dynamic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who can effectively handle chemicals to manufacture chemical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients, prepare and monitor equipment used for batch manufacturing and cleaning, and support Operational Excellence and other departmental projects as appropriate.


The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the plant is in an audit-ready state and that plant operations are executed in a safe manner and to expected cGMP standards. Additionally, they will participate on-site emergency response teams and use business systems for carrying out real-time data entry and transactions for operations within the shift.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling of chemicals to manufacture chemical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • The preparation and monitoring of equipment used for batch manufacturing and cleaning.
  • Safety and compliance with cGMP standards.
  • Participation in on-site emergency response teams.
  • Data entry and transaction processing using business systems.

Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a science discipline, or previous experience (4+ years) working within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
  • Collaborative skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment or on one's own initiative without close supervision.
