Job Title: Maintenance Technician

About the Job:

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled maintenance technician. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of our site.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive individual with hands-on expertise in equipment maintenance and a strong focus on reliability, safety standards, and quality. If you have a passion for solving problems and working efficiently, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide reactive and planned maintenance across the site.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plant and equipment.
  • Carry out diagnostics and basic programming on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC's (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE, Schneider).
  • SUPPORT FACILITIES EQUIPMENT SUCH AS HVAC, COMPRESSED AIR, AND REFRIGERATION.
  • Execute preventive maintenance and support continuous improvement.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.

Requirements:

  • A relevant trade qualification (Electrician, Fitter, or Engineering Degree).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance technician role in a Manufacturing Environment - preferably Food/Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in motor control systems, pneumatics, temperature control, and safety systems.
  • Be proficient in computer-based systems e-mail/word/excel etc.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality and Health, Environment and Safety.
  • Work well in a team environment while at the same time have the ability to work on one's own initiative
  • Good organisational and communication skills
