Senior Fund Accountant - Alternative Investments Specialist


We seek an experienced Senior Fund Accountant with a strong background in alternative investments and fund reporting to join our team on a high-profile transition project.


The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting, preferably within hedge funds, private equity, or other alternative products. Strong technical knowledge of NAV production, reconciliations, and fund structures is essential.


A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred, and experience of fund conversions, migrations, or working directly with Third-Party Administrators is highly valued. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work confidently with both senior stakeholders and external partners.



Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of day-to-day and period-end fund accounting across a suite of alternative investment products.
  • Review NAVs, reconciliations, and financial reports with precision and accuracy.
  • Play a key role in the migration of funds from an internal platform to TPAs, ensuring smooth transitions and robust controls.
  • Act as the bridge between internal stakeholders and external administrators.
  • Support audits, regulatory submissions, and other critical financial reporting requirements.
  • Provide oversight and mentoring to colleagues where needed.


Requirements
  • Proven track record in fund accounting or financial reporting.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of alternative investments.
  • Experience of working with third-party administrators or similar.
  • Highly analytical and attention to detail.
