CPL is seeking a Technical Data Innovator to join a global ecommerce leader.

The company operates in numerous markets, connecting millions of buyers and sellers through their platform, fostering communities and creating economic opportunities.

About the Role & Team

This innovative organization’s Data & Metrics team manages massive data sets, enabling fast and reliable analytics at scale. They are building a cloud-native, highly available data platform using a Data Mesh architecture to support both streaming and offline analytics.

The team is looking for experienced professionals passionate about designing scalable data solutions and contributing to data products that serve internal teams and millions of external users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and lead technical solutions for complex data and product challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and other engineers.
  • Champion and implement best practices for quality, scalability, and performance.
  • Present technical ideas clearly to a wide range of audiences.
  • Encourage innovation and mentor others in the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in big data or ML systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Python; knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with technologies such as Spring Boot, Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Kafka, etc.
  • Clean coding practices and a strong focus on quality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Nice to have: Experience contributing to open-source projects or working in a global organization.
