Job Description

As a key member of our Data Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in building cutting-edge systems that power the company's data-driven features.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying large-scale data platforms that optimize performance and scalability across the organization's systems.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about building innovative data platforms that scale to millions of users, collaborating across Engineering and Product teams in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities include owning the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.

Additionally, you will collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems
  • Deep experience with cloud-based development (AWS required; GCP a plus)
  • Expertise in at least one language: Scala, Java, or Python
  • Proven track record of building data platforms from the ground up, including ingesting and processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (audio, video, images, text files)
  • Strong understanding of event streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS)
  • Experience with distributed processing frameworks like Apache Spark and/or Apache Flink
  • Solid knowledge of platform observability, deployment pipelines, and operational excellence

In 90 days, you will know the platform in detail and are comfortable tackling large features and delivering them in a timely manner. You would have worked closely with the product and got a deep understanding of the roadmap and begun design and development of large end-to-end solutions.

This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially in a globally distributed team, and a willingness to handle on-call rotations and urgent escalations as needed.
