Role Summary:

Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to fulfill the role of Senior Revenue Recognition Accountant.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software revenue methods, performance obligations, and system configuration across various platforms. Key responsibilities include reviewing customer contracts and sales orders to ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review customer contracts and sales orders to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  • Identify and evaluate performance obligations and determine appropriate revenue treatment
  • Conduct standalone selling price (SSP) studies to support revenue allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, and Professional Services to ensure accurate contract setup and revenue forecasting
  • Configure and maintain revenue-related settings in ERP and CRM systems
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in the software or SaaS industry
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and revenue recognition principles
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data analysis tools
