Job Title: Maintenance Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to manage our fabric maintenance team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the routine preventative, reactive, and remedial building fabric maintenance carried out by our team of fabric technicians.

The ideal candidate will have a background in carpentry and experience in facilities management or the building services industry/consultancy. They will also be familiar with M&E equipment and have experience with Building Management Systems. Additionally, they will have knowledge of building environmental/energy efficiency and possess IT skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of fabric technicians, ensuring all work is completed within stated timeframes, and adhering to safe work procedures. They will also be fully responsible for modest projects including planning, procuring parts, installing, testing, commissioning, and documenting the process when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of fabric technicians responsible for routine preventative, reactive, and remedial building fabric maintenance.
  • Civil repairs on roadways or buildings, furniture repairs, equipment removal, carpentry, plumbing, painting, joinery, facade maintenance, drain or gutter maintenance, sweeping, snow or ice clearance, door maintenance, and roof maintenance.
  • Ensure all work is completed within stated timeframes and safe work procedures (RA, MS, SPA, and permits) are followed.
  • Fully responsible for modest projects including planning, procuring parts, installing, testing, commissioning, and documenting the process when required.
  • Update and use site CMMS systems to track work activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of buildings, workspaces, and storage facilities.
  • Achieve highest levels of craftsmanship by embracing right-first-time mentality, continual improvement program, and pride in one's work.
  • Guarantee thorough contractor management and help with on-site direct supervision of clients' suppliers and contractors.
  • Be pliable and adjust to new procedures, equipment, plants, or working methods.
Requirements:
  • Carpentry background.
  • Experience in facilities management or building services industry/consultancy.
  • Familiarity with M&E equipment.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems.
  • Experience in building environmental/energy efficiency.
  • IT Skills preferred.
