Housing Support Specialist

Hiring a Housing Support Officer at Galway Simon Community means you'll be part of a team dedicated to eliminating homelessness. As a key worker, you'll support clients with complex care needs, delivering practical and emotional assistance according to their individual plans.

Your role will involve:

  • Supporting clients from diverse backgrounds in a calm, trauma-informed manner
  • Staying compliant with organisation policies and up-to-date on mandatory training
  • Leading shifts effectively and logging interventions on relevant systems
  • Collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality service

We're looking for candidates with a Degree in Social Care or similar, CORU registration as a Social Care Worker, and 2 years' experience in a similar role. Knowledge of the homeless sector and Trauma-Informed Approach is a distinct advantage.
