Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning innovative automation equipment used in the manufacture of life-saving medical devices. They will work across a broad range of projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet the needs of a discerning global client base.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and deliver new electrical designs and concepts for automated equipment
  • Evaluate customer specifications and translate them into effective design solutions
  • Select and specify appropriate components and materials for electrical systems
  • Ensure all electrical designs comply with safety standards and industry regulations
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and project teams to deliver integrated automation solutions
  • Conduct electrical testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation of designs
  • Perform equipment qualifications, machine power-ups, and quality checks to support project execution
  • Commission machines on-site and provide ongoing technical support where required
  • Support estimation, procurement, and bid teams with technical input during project scoping
  • Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates to stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree, diploma, or apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1–3 years' experience in electrical design or hands-on work with electrical systems
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical) is an advantage
  • Understanding of electrical safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
