As Finance Officer on the Board, you will provide strategic oversight and financial guidance to support sustainable growth. Your assistance will ensure compliance with financial governance and charity regulations while delivering maximum impact for our members.
- Provide financial oversight and reporting to the Board.
- Advise on budgeting, reserves, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with the Charities Regulator and financial legislation.
- Support preparation and review of annual accounts and audit processes.
- Offer guidance on fundraising strategies and financial risk management.
- Contribute strategically to the direction, bringing insight, oversight, and experience from other sectors.
We're Looking For:
- A qualified accountant or accounts technician.
- Experience in nonprofit financial management is advantageous.
- A strong understanding of compliance and financial reporting.
- Ability to contribute strategically and work collaboratively as part of a board.
- Passion for inclusion, environmental, and social impact – voluntary work.
Time Commitment: 6-8 meetings per year, held at the EDI Centre, with opportunities for hybrid meetings (online/in person).
