We are seeking a dynamic Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team in a busy acute hospital providing full emergency services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist assessment and management of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
  • Lead and participate in the delivery of high-quality, safe, and patient-centred emergency care.
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff, including registrars, SHOs, and interns.
  • Collaborate with other specialties to ensure timely patient flow and effective care pathways.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and audit of clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Participate in teaching, training, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Engage in clinical governance, quality improvement, and risk management.
  • Participate in the Emergency Medicine Specialist on-call rota.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Registered or eligible for registration on the Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council (IMC) in the specialty of Emergency Medicine.
  • Fellowship of a recognised postgraduate medical training body (e.g., FRCEM, FACEM, ABEM, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in Emergency Medicine.
  • Proven leadership, teaching, and service development experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-working skills.
