Urgent Care Physician Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced physician to join our multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to work with a diverse range of patients, providing high-quality care and support.

About the Role:
  • Treat patients aged 12 months and above who attend the clinic for consultation.
  • Provide medical care for minor injuries, including sprains, fractures, and wounds.
  • Care for patients with minor illnesses.
  • Interpret x-rays and ECGs as required.
  • Facilitate referrals to emergency departments or specialists when necessary.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Registration with the Irish Medical Council.
  • A minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in general practice and at least 2 years recent urgent care/emergency medicine experience.
  • Training in emergency medicine, general practice, or other postgraduate qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Desirable to have 6 months' experience working with paediatric patients.

You will also need to demonstrate:

  • A patient-focused approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of risk management and clinical audit.
  • Demonstrated alignment to professional values.
