MES Design Engineer Role

The company seeks a skilled MES Design Engineer to work on the development of a biopharmaceutical client site MES system. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in designing and configuring Werum PAS-X MBRs within pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, configure, and test Werum PAS-X MBRs from initial concept to final approval.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, automation, and IT teams to gather and analyse user requirements.
  • Manage the full MBR development lifecycle, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation using HP Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Provide support and technical expertise for the ongoing development of the site MES system, development of MBRs and improving the MES business process.
  • Take part in the training of all relevant EBR end-users and the ongoing development, review, and update of all relevant SOPs.
  • Provide technical expertise for equipment integration design, configuration, and testing to allow MBR interaction with shop floor equipment.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and fault-finding where required for MES and all relevant interfaces as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or similar field.
  • At least 2 years' experience in MES design in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Koerber (Werum) PAS-X, with strong proficiency in MBR design.
  • Experience in syringe/vial manufacturing operations is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of MES integration with Level 2 automation systems such as SCADA, DeltaV, and PI.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt to new technology.
