Pharmaceutical manufacturing requires a unique blend of technical expertise and collaboration to ensure seamless operations.

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced MES Design Engineer to join our team. As an MES Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of MBR development, from requirement gathering through to configuration and deployment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, and test Werum PAS-X MBRs from initial concept to final approval.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, automation, and IT teams to gather and analyse user requirements.
  • Manage the full MBR development lifecycle, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation using HP Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Provide support and technical expertise for the ongoing development of the site MES system, development of MBRs and improving the MES business process.
  • Take part in the training of all relevant EBR end-users and the ongoing development, review, and update of all relevant SOPs.
  • Provide technical expertise for equipment integration design, configuration, and testing to allow MBR interaction with shop floor equipment.
  • Carry out troubleshooting and fault-finding where required for MES and all relevant interfaces as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a similar field is required.
  • At least 2 years of MES design experience in a pharmaceutical environment is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of Koerber (Werum) PAS-X and proficiency in MBR design is essential.
  • Any experience working in syringe/vial manufacturing operations is highly valued.
  • A working knowledge of MES integration with Level 2 automation systems such as SCADA, DeltaV, and PI is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are critical.
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technology is vital.
