
Equipment Calibration Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Calibration Specialist to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will be full-time onsite.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Managing interactions with contractors, including visitor training and equipment service coordination.
- Sending laboratory equipment for calibration and performing in-house calibrations (e.g., solvent recyclers, KF checks).
- Reviewing and maintaining documentation, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols, calibration certificates, and SOPs/WISOPs.
- Investigating equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting issues, and supporting analysts with technical problems.
- Performing routine temperature checks on LCs, water baths, column heaters, refrigerators, freezers, and stability cabinets.
- Supporting equipment lifecycle activities, including budget preparation, installation coordination, qualification, validation, and spare part planning.
- Maintaining monthly calibration schedules and integrating contractor work into internal processes.
- Assisting with software administration (Empower, IDIS, IR, hardness testers) and data integrity remediation.
- Providing support during audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
This position requires:
- A third-level qualification in science or a related field.
- Four or more years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory.
- An honours degree in chemistry or analytical science.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
