Senior Health and Wellbeing Specialist

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic team within the Health, Safety, Security, Quality (HSSEQ) Directorate.
As a Health and Wellbeing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining high standards of health and wellbeing across the project.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
- Deliver targeted safety training and toolbox talks to site personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of safety documentation, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors to foster a positive safety culture.
- Ensure adherence to Irish health and safety legislation, including ISO45001 standards.
- Monitor subcontractor safety practices and provide guidance where necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive safety reports for senior management.
- 10+ years' experience in supporting the implementation of health and safety arrangements on large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of Irish health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Relevant qualification in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or a diploma in Occupational Health & Safety).
