Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the region's Foodservice Sales team to deliver annual sales and profit targets, growing the Foodservice business across all channels (Collect, Delivered & Digital) while embodying our brand essence of Business Made Easy.

Role Scope:

The role entails increasing foodservice market share within the Foodservice business/customers within the Region, encompassing collect, delivered, and digital channels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve budget targets and stretch targets as outlined by the Head of Foodservice Sales.
  • Profitably grow the business in the area by ensuring a clear focus on sales and profit development, including new business development through effective prospecting and driving loyalty through management of existing accounts, margin, and contract management, new product launches, etc.
  • Effectively manage and motivate the area Foodservice sales team.
  • Define, implement, and manage sales processes, including CRM, journey plans, account information/data, customer contact information databases, in-call reports, etc., carry out field accompaniments and follow-up actions as appropriate.
  • Minimize costs through ensuring effective customer service, minimizing splits, and small drops.
  • Ensure the successful management of debt and margin for the Area in line with company policy.
  • Manage external relationships with customers and suppliers (as appropriate) in accordance with customer service best practices.
  • Organize and manage monthly Foodservice Area sales team meetings and attend each monthly Regional Sales and Ops Meeting.
  • Become an active and effective member of the Regional Teams across Wholesale to successfully deliver the Foodservice business development strategy for each region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and communication links with the Regional Sales and Operations teams.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Foodservice Sales and peers to develop Foodservice business plans and initiatives delivered through best-in-class field sales execution.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Branch Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Transport, Trading, and Marketing Teams to optimize our offer in the area and drive customer advocacy.

Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of knowledge/experience in the Foodservice/FMCG sector.
  • Exceptional Communication and Relationship Management Skills.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic business planning.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.
  • Achievement-oriented individual.
  • Strong people and performance management skills.
  • Third-level qualification specializing in Sales/Marketing/Food/Business.
  • Full clean driving license.
