Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled and experienced Motor Technicians to join our team. This role involves performing a range of tasks, including diagnosing vehicle malfunctions, performing repairs, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing work as outlined on the job card with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with industry standards.
  • Communicating with parts and service departments to obtain needed parts and inform workshop managers of any issues.
  • Diagnosing vehicle malfunctions and performing repairs after confirming authorization by the Service Manager or advisor.
  • Examining vehicles and performing health checks to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notifying service advisors immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised.
  • Road-testing vehicles to spot check work performed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to all company policies and safety standards.
  • Staying up-to-date with technical bulletins and attending training sessions as directed by the Service Manager.
Requirements:
  • A qualified technician with a National Craft Certificate or equivalent QQI Level 6 qualification.
  • Experience working in a franchised dealership environment.
  • The ability to clearly complete job card write-ups with a thorough understanding of franchised standards for warranty write-ups.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to identify and explain additional work required to service advisors or customers.
  • Previous experience working with Franchised Dealer systems diagnosis equipment and modern electronics.
  • A full clean and valid driving license.
  • Self-motivation and high-quality standards.
  • A team player with a positive attitude.
