Job Title: Care and Support Worker

This role involves working as part of a dedicated care team to provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity and quality of life.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare or social care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities is desirable but not essential.

You will work closely with the service users, families and colleagues to implement Person Centred Plans and promote independence, dignity and quality of life. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and contributing to the overall smooth running of the service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day support with personal care, life skills and community activities;
  • Promote independence, dignity and quality of life;
  • Assist in the implementation of Person Centred Plans;
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team;
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent;
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a care setting (preferably in disability services);
  • Full clean Irish/EU driving licence;
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Shifts & Hours:
  • Part-time Residential: 49 hours per fortnight;
  • Evening midweek shifts: 4:30pm - 10:00pm;
  • Saturday shifts: 12 hours;
  • Sunday shifts: 10 hours;
  • No overnight sleepovers.
