Our client is seeking a Civil Engineer to work on water treatment projects in Cavan.

  • The successful candidate will have experience setting out and be able to work independently.
  • Key responsibilities include set out detailed works based on contract drawings, conducting regular checks and overseeing the accurate establishment of level and survey control for contracts.
  • Identify and implement value engineering opportunities where possible.
  • Maintain accurate records including site diaries and compliance documentation.
  • Address technical challenges that may arise unexpectedly.
  • Develop and manage procurement schedules liaising with the procurement team to secure necessary resources.
  • Promote best practices across all site operations.
  • Establish a safe working culture and enforce high safety standards.
  • Ensure strict compliance with legal requirements.
  • Uphold environmental compliance across all activities.

Requirements:

  • Min. Third-level qualification (or equivalent) in Construction/Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Min. 2-3 years site-based setting out experience.
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, Environmental and legal regulations.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook.
  • Experience of temporary work co-ordination is beneficial.
  • Experience of MS project.
  • Valid Safe Pass/SMSTS/MSIC card holder.
