About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer at Medtronic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and continuously improving manufacturing processes to deliver high-quality products that alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot manufacturing/equipment issues using structured problem-solving methodologies like DMAIC and provide technical solutions through hands-on interaction.
- Provide engineering support to operations teams to drive yield, analyze & reduce critical defects, LBM & cycle time improvements.
- Ensure equipment downtime is minimized during shift activity.
- Creates/Maintains equipment documentation: EB's, EDST, IQ protocols, and PMs.
- Installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, and validation of equipment.
- Implement relevant poke-yoke and mix up mitigations.
- Work individually or as part of a team on various process improvement projects.
- Supports on NCMR investigations when required.
Requirements
- Minimum of Level 7 bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electronics & Biomedical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
- Experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering operations environment in MedTech is preferred.
- Strong Technical Engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of statistical tools.
- Ability to work across functions as part of a manufacturing support team.
- Ability to work on their own initiative.
- Agile MAP and SAP experience an advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills are essential and must be a team player.
- Experience with SAP ME is desirable.
