Job Description

The Senior Buyer will play a key role in the coordination and execution of activities related to planning and purchasing components. This includes converting Master Schedule and detailed schedule (MRP) for production needs into material requirements, ensuring availability of the right quantity when needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) to ensure efficient procurement and inventory practices, optimizing quality, service, reliability, and cost.
  • Maintain accurate master data of materials in SAP to receive timely signals.
  • Communicate material delivery schedules to suppliers on time to meet planned requirements.
  • Ensure raw material and consumable inventories are within target, minimizing excess, obsolete, and expired materials.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve issues as they arise, utilizing initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Interface with Quality and Warehouse staff regarding rejected/defective materials, making arrangements for prompt return or disposal.
  • Support Scenario planning (RCCP) by performing material feasibility analysis with colleagues in Material Operations and Planning function.
