Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Accounts Payable Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and organized individual to take on a leadership role in our accounts payable department.

As a Senior Accounts Payable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable team, including managing workflow, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs, working closely with internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment processing, including preparing and submitting invoices, verifying vendor information, and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge and achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement initiatives to reduce expenses and improve financial performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders as required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, including financial regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends and patterns, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and able to learn new software systems quickly.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Background in construction or manufacturing, with knowledge of industry-specific requirements and regulations.
