Vehicle Care Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Vehicle Care Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with vehicles and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare vehicles for rental, ensuring they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Drive vehicles to and from designated locations, including rental branches, airports, and customer pickup/drop-off points, maintaining accurate records of movements on our app.
  • Perform pre- and post-rental inspections to ensure vehicles meet company standards for cleanliness and safety.
  • Audit the quality of vehicles both inside and outside, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Install and remove vehicle trackers, activate and deactivate tracking systems, and complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate vehicle movements and prioritize tasks.
  • Conduct safety and maintenance checks on vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, prioritizing your own health and safety and that of your colleagues.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times, representing the company in a positive light.
  • Carry out ad hoc duties as directed by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a full clean B driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Work a standard 40-hour week, Monday to Saturday, with Saturday work required.
  • Have the physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Exhibit excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Display strong ability to multitask and manage pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Holding mechanical knowledge is advantageous, e.g., checking oil and tire pressures.
