Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in a community mental health setting. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive social work services to individuals with mental health needs.

The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification in Social Work and registration with CORU as a Professionally Qualified Social Worker. They will also possess a minimum of 1 year's post-qualification experience in a mental health or related setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, and contribute to diagnostic and treatment planning.
  • Deliver therapeutic and psychosocial supports to individuals with mental health needs, while also supporting families and carers as appropriate.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and management of acute and complex cases.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and community supports, including housing, advocacy services, and voluntary organisations.
  • Promote social inclusion and patient-centred care.

Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in Social Work and registration with CORU as a Professionally Qualified Social Worker.
  • Minimum of 1 year's post-qualification experience in a mental health or related setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of mental health issues and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
