General Warehouse Operative

We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Warehouse Operative to join our team in Naas. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse facilities.

About the Role

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift heavy objects, work at height, and operate machinery safely. You will be working in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse environment and possess excellent communication skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve set goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and unloading trucks, filling and reclaiming grain ground piles, and other grain handling tasks
  • Maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure ongoing facility operations
  • Receiving incoming goods, verifying packaging documentation against shipment records, and checking for damages
  • Ensuring safe storage of product in the warehouse, minimizing damage and utilizing in-depth knowledge to perform required duties and assist others
  • Operating equipment and machines such as hand trucks, forklifts, palletizers, stretch-film wrappers, labelers, or conveyors to stack or wrap materials, store product, and prepare product for shipment
  • Performing housekeeping duties and general warehouse maintenance
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, lifting up to 20kg, and kneeling
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate of €13.50 plus 20% shift allowance = €16.20 per hour
  • 25 days annual leave
Shift Patterns

We operate on a one week day shift and one week evening shift pattern. This means you can expect to work either:

  • Days: 6 am - 2 pm
  • Evenings: 2 pm - 10 pm
