Motor Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Motor Claims Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling motor damage claims, ensuring they are fully and fairly investigated and settled efficiently. No previous insurance experience is required as we provide comprehensive training and support to help you develop your skills and knowledge.

As a Motor Claims Specialist, you will work closely with our experienced team to manage a portfolio of claims, identify potentially fraudulent cases and recovery cases, and perform administrative tasks as required. You will also have the opportunity to participate in special projects and assignments.

To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of 1 year's experience within a financial services role, preferably in a customer-facing capacity. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing first notification of Own Damage and Third Party liability claims
  • Treating and settling claims proactively
  • Managing a claims portfolio, ensuring all claims are handled within service levels and in a compliant manner
  • Identifying potentially fraudulent cases and recovery cases
  • Working flexibly in the Motor Claims Team to meet customer needs
  • Performing unit administration duties
  • Requisitioning and authorizing cheques as required within company guidelines
  • Participating in special projects or assignments as required

Essential – Key Requirements / Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience within a Financial Services role
  • Experience in a customer-facing role, maintaining standards of quality while providing superior customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence internal and external customers

Desirable:

  • Experience in a Motor Claims handling customer-facing role
  • Completed an APA, CIP or a relevant insurance qualification to meet MCC requirements
  • Relevant third level qualification
  • MCC qualified/ grandfathered in Personal & Commercial Lines

This role is subject to Minimum Competency Code (MCC) as provided by the Central Bank of Ireland. A recognized insurance qualification may be required. Appointment is subject to Central Bank requirements. This role is a Control Function and is subject to F&P Standards, including the Individual Accountability Framework Act 2023. Relevant Conduct Standards training will be provided where required.
