Senior VAT Specialist Job

Our team is looking for a seasoned VAT professional to manage the monthly VAT reporting calendar and oversee various financial processes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely submission of VAT, Intrastat, and EC Sales filings.
  • Support team members in preparing complete and accurate VAT filings.
  • Oversee month-end processes, including VAT account reconciliations, journal entries, cash management, forecasting, and FX exposure monitoring.
  • Provide timely responses to queries from VAT Authorities.
  • Maintain the VAT control framework for SOX, internal audit, and external VAT inspections.
  • Participate in project work as required.
  • Key Relationships:
  • SSC and European Business Unit staff
  • VAT and Customs Authorities
  • VAT recovery Consultants
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of finance/VAT experience in a multinational or similar setting.
  • Accounting/Finance degree.
  • Proficient in Oracle or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical abilities.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups).
  • Experience with RPA tools.
  • Fluent in English (additional European language would be a plus)
  • Desirable: Experience in Customs/Trade Compliance.
  • Desirable: Management experience.
  • Initiative and a focus on process improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels while upholding organizational values.
  • Possesses strong organizational and prioritization skills.
