**Job Opportunity for Heart Valve Expertise

We seek an accomplished engineer with in-depth knowledge of heart valve systems to drive innovation and development.

  • Leverage expertise in material science, nitinol, and valve interface requirements to lead the creation of next-generation aortic valve replacement devices from concept to clinical trials.
  • Ensure all design and development activities meet regulatory standards per ISO 5840 and satisfy end-user needs.
  • Design and develop detailed component and subsystem drawings using SolidWorks software.
  • Mentor postdoctoral research candidates engaged in implant development activities.
  • Document and maintain records of design iterations, evaluations, test methods, and analysis.
  • Develop prototypes and conduct feasibility studies to evaluate valve designs and materials.
  • Establish effective bench test methods and provide engineering support for pre-clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with delivery system development partners on user evaluation studies.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Polymer Science.
  • Experience in stent design, polymer processing, and/or heart valve systems.
  • At least 5 years of medical device process development/R&D experience.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks modeling and engineering drawing.
  • Familiarity with FEA / CFD application towards implant development.
  • Direct Class III implant design experience.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements including ISO 5840 and FDA regulation.
